We were blessed to visit Seattle this weekend and be able to spend time with family, celebrate sweet Sophie's 3rd birthday and visit the Kehrlis. It was a wonderful little trip.
Grady and Cameron share many of the same tastes in clothes and happened to have matchy matchy outfits. I am trying to make sure to get good cousin pictures whenever we are together. The Whitfield cousins seems to be much more willing participants.
These cousin shots turned out a little better. I just cannot get enough of watching these three together.
And this one takes the hilarity prize for the weekend. Are you kidding me, Grady?! Tongue out (he does this A LOT) and crossed eyed. What a funny little dude.
It was so fun to be able to celebrate Miss Sophie on her actual birthday and at her birthday party the next day. Sophie is kind, smart as a whip, articulate, funny, and so loving. She is very gentle with Grady (and all babies) and would talk in a sweet voice, sing, rock his car seat, or put on a show to help make him happy. She is such a sweet girl and we are lucky that she is part of our family. These are pictures of birthday girl herself showing me how old she is, at her awesome monster party, and helping out with Grady.
We spent an afternoon visiting with the Kehrlis and their sweet little Addison. We got the tour of their awesome new house and had a great lunch date. Grady did not put on his best show for Addison. He cried screamed at the top of his lungs for the first half hour of our visit and then tried to put the moves on Addison.
Good thing they can put up with a crying baby so well. I love these baby swap photos. Addison is just a doll. She just cuddles up on you in a little ball of love. Grady was never a big cuddle bug even in his very first days so I was sure to get all of the cuddles in that I could. Chris, the man once terrified of holding babies, even got his snuggles in.
We got a second chance to do more catching up with the Kehrlis at Sophie's party the next day. Grady apparently got the message that girls don't like moody men and put on a better face for Addison the second time around, but despite Bob's warning he still tried to put the moves on Addison.
Visits with a baby are a little different than pre-baby days, but there is something so fun about seeing all of our kids together and just hanging out knowing that these kids will have years and years of memories together. Thanks for all the good times Whitfields and Kehrlis!
Grady made the flights both ways easy by sleeping all the way. Our fingers are crossed for our next big trip next month, but somehow I feel like our luck is limited and we will be "those people" on our next flight. He was also good at the birthday party taking a snooze in the Bjorn, total party animal.
