Usain Bella

We had the Johnsons come and visit us this weekend and it was a fabulous weekend.  They brought us a wonderful surprise that I will have to write about next weekend.  Stay tuned.   We had a great weekend full of college football (I love this time of year!), lunch with Chris' aunt and uncle, a date for four at the driving range, and a great dinner out in our beloved city.  My plan to convince Kim and Eric to move to Boise has not quite come to fruition, but it was great to have them here for a weekend.  Thanks for making the trip down here guys!

They also helped us settle a big bet that Chris and I had.  A couple weeks ago he nonchalantly told me  that he could hands down run faster than Bella.  I laughed and thought he'd let it go, but it has come up in several conversations since.  So we placed a real wager on it (3 months of Bella baths and haircuts) and took Bella and Chris out for a head to head 100 meter dash.   Chris looked great in his run and ran it in 11.4 seconds.  I had to admit, he looked good, but I wasn't scared. 

Then we took Bella to one end and took her favorite green squishy ball away from her.  When she was unleashed she put her dad's time to shame and ran the distance in 8.7 seconds beating Usain Bolt's record by at least one second.  So for the record, Chris cannot run as fast as Bella and neither can the world record holder.  Go Bella!  Have fun with those hair cuts, Chris!
