When I thought about what I wanted to write about being thankful for this week, I thought of about 100 things. So I thought why not write about all of them. I cannot call it being thankful for the small things because I recognize that some of these are quite significant. So here they are, in no particular order, 100 things/experiences that I am thankful for this year.
- Morning sister talks.
- Living in a city that I love.
- A warm fire place.
- Mint chocolate chip ice cream.
- The candor of inspiring bloggers who open their hearts to strangers (this one changed me and I bet it will you too).
- A wonderfully supportive family.
- A job that makes me use my brain every day.
- Attending four beautiful weddings.
- Seeing the fall colors back East.
- Books probably written for tweens that I love (the Hunger Games was my series this year).
- Morning walks with the Bels.
- Discovering Brandi Carlile's music.
- Heated seats.
- Being able to say that I am in my 20s, I still have a month left people.
- Getting to see the ocean.
- My camera, best buy ever!
- The Squeezebox, one of the few technologies I use every single day.
- Fall walks.
- My big bath tub.
- Being able to run Hood to Coast with such an awesome group of friends.
- Eating dinner on the patio.
- Seeing my friends become moms.
- Soaking up the sun's summer rays.
- Uggs.
- Good professional mentors.
- Christmas cards.
- That Bella still jumps high for her "dinner."
- Fresh paint.
- Sushi.
- Weekends at Priest Lake.
- Kim's lasagna.
- The Dan Patrick Show.
- Having Chris wash Bella for three months.
- Learning to golf.
- My health.
- Post-it flags, I use them every day.
- Being able to travel to Phoenix, Sun Valley, Priest Lake, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, North Carolina, McCall and Denver in one year.
- The Oprah show, I am not afraid to say that I miss it dearly.
- The magic of the first snowfall at our house.
- Black and white photography.
- Sweet potato fries.
- Our new porch swing.
- Naps.
- Our house.
- The smell of freshly cut grass.
- Passing the Idaho state bar exam.
- The courage of Chris to take a new job.
- Warren Miller ski films.
- Hearing Sophie, Tyler, and Owen stories.
- Chocolate.
- A great group of friends.
- Getting my hands dirty in my garden.
- GPS directions.
- Fishing dates with the huz.
- Getting post cards, it seems like an art that is almost dead, but thanks to Kiki I still get a couple a year.
- Redbox.
- The webcasts of John Ortberg and the peace that they bring me.
- That I have the privilege of living in the United States.
- The service of those who protect this country.
- NBC Nightly News.
- Forgiveness.
- Friends who made the trip to Boise to see us (including Becky's second visit, blog post to come).
- Learning something new every single day.
- Ruby.
- Amazon.com and the time that it gives me.
- Bananas and peanut butter.
- Our dreamboard.
- Check ups at the dentist with no cavities.
- Washers, our favorite yard game.
- The spring in my step when I wear new shoes for the first time.
- My bird feeders.
- Good neighbors.
- Learning from my own mistakes.
- Learning from the mistakes of others.
- Costco's wool socks.
- My crockpot.
- Shooting stars.
- A warm cup of coffee, the newspaper and CBS Sunday Morning.
- Chris' hard work to keep our yard looking great.

- College Game Day and maybe Kurk Herbstreit too.
- Caprese salad with fresh basil and tomatoes from my garden.
- Making our yard our own.
- Skiing.
- BSU football, even with a devastating loss.
- The smell of the woods.
- Homemade chicken tortilla soup on a fall day.
- My glasses.
- The shoe rack that Chris made.
- Reminiscing with old friends.
- Summer bike rides.
- The sound of crickets and frogs at night.
- Bonfires.
- Modern Family.
- Spring bulbs and my new awesome bulb planting tool.
- Sitting on the porch with a Popsicle after a run.
- Homemade zucchini bread.
- 5 full years of marriage.
- Seeing the sun rise over Tablerock from my office.
- Being able to document my life on this blog.
