We are so excited to be season ticket holders for BSU football this year! The entire city pretty much erupts in orange and blue on game days. Grocery stores sell orange and blue bread, cars drive with BSU flags waiving outside their window, and if you don't have game day colors on you are either a U of I fan or from out of town. This all makes it even more fun to go to the games.
After a few novice season ticket holder hiccups (i.e., don't wear jeans when it is 93 degrees outside) and checking out a tailgating seen unlike any other we've ever seen, we made our way to our seats. At least we were appropriately dressed in our section's assigned color: blue (see photo below of striped fan sections). Our seats are on the corner of the south end zone which means we are right above where the team comes out of the tunnel. They played Tulsa and pretty much dominated the whole game until they stuck their second string in at the third quarter, but still ended up winning 41 to 21. It was so much fun to be a part of the game. We are true blue Bronco fans and this is sure to not be the last post documenting our 2011 football season.

Another game was upon us even before I could get this post up. This time BSU "whacked the pack" as the all too clever news folks like to say. The Broncos brought down the Nevada Wolfpack in another victory yesterday afternoon. This was also a fun game because it was stupid Nevada that ruined BSU's perfect season last year so the crowd was certainly invested in this game. This time Chris and I donned our bright never-been-washed orange shirts as we cheered from the orange section (same seat assignment, new color assignment).... I wonder if we'll need to buy white shirts for the next game?
I love this post! Go Broncos!!!!
