Graham at 10 months is fun! This
month something clicked in Graham and his development has just taken off, he is
climbing stairs, pulling himself up, getting into absolutely everything,
starting to talk and definitely keeping us on our toes.
Graham 10 month tid bits:
- He is big. He is heavy and looks like a
pig in a blanket stuffed in his infant carseat. He is wearing Grady's 18 mos pajamas and filling them out quite well!
- He is very stealthy moving through the house
with lightening speed and hardly any noise.
- His greatest joy is making a break for
Bella's water bowls or the toilet to attempt to play in the water (see
above item) - gross!
- So far he has three or four "words"
but does not say them with any type of regularity or consistency so I am
not claiming that they count, but they are "all done",
"dada", "duck" and "Ga Ga" for Grady.
No love for the Momma yet.
- He is obsessed with the Bells. She
mostly puts up with his pulling on her ears and tail.
- He continues to be a big time eater, often
putting back more than his big brother in a single sitting. I didn't
think that he was completely ready for all people food until he swiped a french
fry out of my hand and downed it without a problem. The kid will eat
almost anything other than the one food I thought all babies loved,
bananas.
- He has started to imitate us. Grady has
gotten into "dancing" lately and little brother loves trying to
imitate his unique style.
- He is such a joiner and still so easy to make
smile or laugh. He is just a happy, social little dude.
- He's got two more teeth coming in for a total
of 8 teeth!
- He loves playing on the trampoline and being
bounced around by Grady.
- He is still a really good traveler and can
take a few hours in the car before even making a peep.
- The kid is still not 100% percent sleeping
through the night (come on!), but he is getting better. I refuse to
have a one year old who cannot make it through the night so he continues
to be a victim of sleep bootcamp training. He is such a lug and just wants milk. I am OK if it is 5:30, but any earlier than that and he must really cry pretty desperately before I'll give him what he wants.
- He is seriously the most flexible baby I have
ever seen. He stretches his legs out to beyond 180 degrees with
regularity.
- He may be an army crawler for life, or at
least until he walks. It looks like traditional crawling is just too
normal for Graham as he prefers the much more awkward and labor
intensive army crawl.
- He is a water baby making a break for the
pool, toilet, bath, lake, basically whatever has water whenever he gets a
chance.
- He loves watching Grady take his baths and loves playing in his own bath. He blows bubbles often choking back mouthfuls of water with a combination of coughing and laughing.
- He plays independently so well! He prefers big boy toys like trucks and cars.
- He is just the sweetest most wonderful baby ever. Our nanny says when she "grows up" she wants a baby just like him. We love Graham baby more than we could ever explain.
Despite taking the wait and see approach and hearing that most clogged tear ducts clear up on their own, Graham has still been bothered by a clogged tear duct in his right eye. He has his second eye appointment on Monday where we are hoping they can clear it so that we can avoid having to put him under. All good thoughts and prayers are welcome! We are lucky that so far he has taken it all in stride, the ophthalmologist told us that is the only baby she has ever seen who didn't cry or fuss at all when getting his eyes dilated.
I am with Graham on the banana front - yuck! Love this update - there are clearly some photos where he looks so much like Grady. Can't mistake those two are brothers!!! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteHe is so fun to watch! Now entertains himself emptying toy basket, closing fingers in low drawer:-(, and I saw a STEP! He's gonna zoom when he realizes he can move on his feet! I like his pretend kissing fish face! Just sweetness and mellow!
