No, time has not stopped. Despite my total failure to complete Graham's monthly updates in any sort of real-time fashion, he continues to grow and thrive. I'll call this his 8 and 9 month updates with his 10 month update to follow.
Graham continues to be a little ray of sunshine in our family. He greets us every morning with the sweetest of smiles. He has learned to take his crib bumper down so that he can peek at us as soon as we open his door. He is full of smiles and continues to be a dream baby but for his failure to consistently sleep through the night, I guess he cannot be perfect.
- At month 8, I would have sworn we had a little ginger on our hands, at month 9 his hair is looking substantially more blond. His eyes are a hazel which sometimes look more green, sometimes more brown, and sometimes more aqua green. He is our little chameleon.
- He is more of a scooter than he is a crawler. He started scooting at around 8 months and slides himself all over the house. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that we lose him at least once a day in the house.
- He loves his baths and always feels most adventurous when he's in the water. He tries to climb out of his tub regularly.
- He also enjoys floating around in his boat in the pool and also regularly tries to escape that as well.
- He delights in watching big brother take his baths and stands by the tub squealing with delight.
- In fact his eyes are always on big brother. Grady is generally oblivious but Graham is always watching with anticipation every move that his brother makes.
- He is seriously the most flexible baby I have ever seen. While at the Dr., I was asked to hold his arms down and Graham started "grabbing" at the doctor's hands with his feet! He holds his bottle with all hands and feet on deck with 4 extremities clasping the bottle.
- This kid can eat. He'll down three tubs of baby food in one sitting. He is always trying to swipe cups out of our hands and drinks from counter tops. When we walk away from him to fill his bowl again for a second or third helping he throws his head back and screams in frustration because he wants more food . . . NOW.
- Unlike his big bro, he is pretty darn good at entertaining himself. We give him a box or basket of toys to explore and he'll have a hay day.
- He'll giggle like no other when you hold him upside down, pretend to drop him, or give him a zerbert. He likes it best when Grady gives him a zerbert.
- He is a joiner. If you smile, he smiles. If you laugh, he laughs. He just wants to be a part of every conversation.
- AS far as nicknames go, he is called G2, Bubba, Red (he better keep that red hair), G2, Graham pie, Graham baby, and and Grammy Pants (don't even ask where it came from)
- He's all smiles, all the time (almost), it is hard to get a closed moth picture with this kid.
We love you Grammy Pants Graham!!
Graham's greatest loves include. . . big brother
. . . . daddy
What mess? ? ?
He is pure sweetness when he sleeps.
