We celebrated this nation's birthday at Priest Lake, Idaho once again this year with Grandma and papa. It was an absolutely wonderful weekend which filled my little brain with memories I will cherish forever. Priest Lake for our almost three year old, was a dream come true. He filled each and every day to the brim with dirt, frogs, swimming, and lots of love from Grandma and Papa.
Our highlights included:
- Meeting Grandma and Papa at the airport full of enthusiasm.
- Jumping off the dock with Grady.
- Catching frogs all day long on the beach, two of which Grady named Woodem and Deedam.
- Digging in Grady's new found
sandash pit. - A nice redneck, cooler bathtub for the babe.
- Driving the boat with Papa.
- Daddy and Grady sleeping in bunks in the schoolhouse together.
- Digging dirt out of Grady's hair, a sure sign of a good day.
- Lots of yummy yummy food and snacks from Grandma.
- Grady's first swim off the back of the boat in the middle of the lake.
- Graham loving the beach and trying to eat the beach if ever left for one second.
- Hikes with Papa and Grady to forest two and forest three.
- Papa and Grady seeing two deer on their way to get ice cream.
- Walking down to hills for ice cream at 9:30 in the morning.
- Graham floating on the float outside the dock.
- Being surprised by Grandma and Papa's brand new, awesome boat.
- Watching daddy wakeboard.
- Grady's visits with next door neighbor Miss Missy.
- Graham's first taste of ice cream.
- Reading the hugest book we've ever seen.
- Waking our sweet Grady up from a dead sleep and walking down to the dock to watch a beautiful fireworks display.
- Watching our boys become lake boys and soaking up all the love from Grandma and Papa.
When you gotta go, you gotta go. fc
