Happy Heart Day

We continued our tradition of getting a huge Valentine's day balloon this year.  Grady was my trusted partner in crime at the store and he was SO EXITED this year.  He kept yelling "Look at my HA-UGE BALLOON!!"  Two weeks later the balloon is still floating around our house and is a constant companion of Grady's.  Grady also got into the spirit by telling everyone, Happy Valentine's Day, including the worker stocking produce, the pharmacist, and the checker.  He continued the tradition for a few days after by saying "Happy Valentine's Day, but Valentine's day is actually over" to everyone that he saw. What a little lover, continue to spread the love you crazy boy.

Valentine's Day looked a little different around here this year. The day was sunny and WARM. Grady enjoyed a sugar filled breakfast with Sophie and Cameron complete with heart shaped donuts with sprinkles.  Breakfast was followed by a dip in the hot tub and some wild sugar infused kids running around outside afterwards.  Grady's sugar letdown was not pretty, but the fun was great while it lasted.

And Heart Breaker is right!  This guy wins the award for sweetest valentine!   Love you sweet baby Graham.

As for Chris and I, we chose to celebrate with a dual massage this year.  What a treat!  All in all a perfect little holiday filled with lots of love for our little family.

Seattle!

I thought the proper way to end maternity leave was with a little visit to one of our favorite cities to see some of our favorite people.  Little did I know that the plague would hit our family the week of anticipated travel.   Despite some nasty virus, the Kehrlis welcomed us into their beautiful house with open arms. Due to being sick, Grady was much more subdued than normal which actually made travel quite easy and enjoyable.  Our first flight as a family of four was amazing with flight attendants complimenting our well behaved children (an absolute first (and probably last) for this family!).

We had a wonderful weekend filled with great food and drinks, an adult night out, lots of catch up time, a beautiful walk around sunny Greenlake in 60 degree weather, a trip to the museum of flight - AKA Chris's dreamland, and lots of playtime with two adorable two year olds.  Grady has now proclaimed that Seattle is his favorite city.   Whenever we see a plain or a train, he announces "it is probably going to Seattle!"   Grady's imaginary friend "Mosho" even originated from Seattle according to him. The absolute highlight of this trip for me was seeing adorable Addison and Grady blossoming into the next generation of friends.  Of course I also enjoyed the time with some of our best friends as well.

Graham was there despite my total failure to document his presence. He was his normal easy, tag along self for the most part, which means it doesn't often occur to me to take his picture.  I am so thankful that we were blessed with the sweetheart of a baby that is Graham, I just need to be better about sharing him with the world.  I swear I will get better at this mother of two children thing.

These two are pure adorableness

This guy was obsessed with Mr. Bob's motorcycle and would beg to ride it multiple times a day.  He'd wake up from his nap and jump up and down yelling, "Can I ride the motorcycle now!!"  I'd tell him you have to wait to ask Bob.  As soon as he'd see Mr Bob, he'd go running and shouting, "Can I ride your motorcycle now?!?!"

Museum of Flight gets two thumbs up all the way around.  I highly suggest visiting for anyone who makes a trip to Seattle.

Grady's favorite part - the astronaut!!

Can you spot my two big boys?

Two generations of Kehrlis and Johnsons.  Life doesn't get much better.

What a beautiful day!  Who says it is rainy all the time in Seattle?

Oh look, I did take a couple of pictures of the Graham man!

Hugs!

Cute girl!  Can't wait till I see you next time.

Thanks for hosting us Kehrlis and for being such awesome friends.
