Our Final Weeks in the Bay Area

Welcome to Johnson Doodles. This is the first post to our blog which we created as a way to jot down events in our rapidly changing Johnson family. We thought this was a good time to start documenting because our lives are about to dramatically change in a couple of weeks as we transition from living in the Bay Area to Boise, Idaho.

As the move date gets closer and closer, we've been trying to see as many friends as possible and take advantage of great Bay Area activities that we'll miss in Idaho. Over the last week we've begun the process of packing up our house. While it's great to be ahead of the game, it's been very interesting eating off paper plates and using plastic utensils. Lets just say that take-out has become the norm.

One thing we will greatly miss is taking advantage of free San Francisco Giants games courtesy of Becky. We took one final game in a few weeks ago and the night couldn't have been any more fun. We had great seats, got a farewell message on the scoreboard in the 5th inning from Becks, and I even caught a foul ball.

In addition to the great get-togethers and dinners we've been lucky enough to have with close friends, I also got the chance to play a final round of golf with Bob and Dan at one of the toughest courses in Northern California. The views of Silicon Valley were amazing, but the course was ridiculously difficult. I'm definitely going to miss the chance to play with the guys.

More updates to come from our actual move.
